LIMITLESS TEA !
Well, the tea was 'limitless' and we couldn't eat it all! Greg did his best! Our favourite were the fresh strawberries hand-dipped in white and milk chocolate, to make a little jacket and bow tie!
When we arrived we were ushered into the Fine Dining Room, rather than then the tinkling tea area with all the riff raff. About one waiter each. Unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate with marshmallows... I discovered ginger chai tea!
Huge white napkins, impeccable service and an enormous twinkly chandelier made the girls sigh with contentment.
Greg was given a 'manly' tea stand, and told no-one had finished theirs but if he did he could have another. Rising to the challenge he managed two! His favourite, the chocolate eclair cube!
Before our tea we went for a stroll along St Heliers. It was quite windy so all the sporty fathers were windsurfing and kite boarding, while their children watched admiringly.
Just to finish with Greg's Fathers' Day poem:
Motorbike riding,
Deep-sea diving,
Out on the boat,
'Characters' quote.
Snorkel and flippers,
Fishing for kippers,
Buffalo lover,
Married to my mother!
