FATHERS' DAY !

Fathers' Day...
It originated in 1908, in West Virginia.
This year it is celebrated on Sept 7th in New Zealand and on the 15th Sept in the UK (so don't worry, you haven't missed it!)Why is it on different dates??
Americans spend over $11 billion on Fathers' Day gifts.
The white or red rose is the official flower for Father's Day.
We plan to treat Greg to a 'limitless tea' at the Langham Hotel in Auckland, and make a fuss of him. I find that this day is often eclipsed by Mothers' Day, so we made an effort and planned a surprise!

"Father’s Day at will feature a tailor-made tea including roast aged beef and mustard sandwiches, spiced tandoori chicken wraps, egg and watercress rolls, champagne ham, aged cheddar and pickle club sandwiches.
This will be followed by bacon and cheese scones with herb mayonnaise butter and topped off with custard squares, double chocolate éclairs and pecan tarts.
House beer will also be served as part of this Father’s Day feast, if desired by the father."
(I wonder if Greg will want that?!)
